Just once 9,7,8,7,10 with 90 secs rest between sets. Hugo did a series too.
Good 5 mile paddle with Al yesterday in C2, then pool coaching session.
Coached another 2 hr pool session tonight just before the pull-ups.
Tired now.
Back to pull-up challenge after room for paddle race training.
Three times 9,7,6,7,10 with 2 mins rest between sets. Hugo did a series too.
Another paddle tomorrow with Fat Al, and then first big race on Sunday.
Err - modified it up a bit, but kept the recovery, just did 2 extra. 8,7,7,7,11 with 90 secs rest - 3 times. Once with Hugo, twice alone. Tom has given up. Pool kayak coaching as well - exhausted now. Time for bed!
Hugo's still with the plan. Tom say's he doesn't need it and is gonna just do them as he goes by the bar or something (more like nothing). He might be brainey and have an offer from Oxford but I'll beat him in this! Anyhow, did it twice for myself and once with Hugo.
Did 8, 7, 6, 7, 10 (it said 8) (120 sec recovery).
At heart I'm a wimp, I skived off paddling tonight as it was so cold. So I thought I better do some extras: three sets of 15 and one of 16 - so 175 pull ups today.
Did 8, 8, 8, 6, max (120 sec recovery) times 3 (for myself and with two elder sons) - my max's were 15, 15 and 10.
Then me and son Hugo did a 5 (warm up) and then max: him 20 me 15, mine a bit technically better than his (excuse!) Anyhow that's 150 pull ups today.
Also yesterday good C2 (paddling) session with some of GB senior mixed dragon boat squad.
Harder - and i'd switched from pronated grip to the curl for Day 1 and just realised you're supposed to do pronated, which is what i usually have done. Anyhow did 7, 6, 6, 8, 9 times 3 (for myself and with two sons) so that's 108 pull ups today!
I'm an endurance paddler www.hhcanclub.com and regularly do 3 sets of 10. I've a bar at work and i cycle in and then am nice and warm to do some pull ups. At Home I've just got a bar too. My two sons are doing it too now. So yesterday I did week 1 day 1 alone at work, then at home with son Tom and later after I'd helped a pool kayak coaching session with my other son Hugo. So three times I did 5 sets with 2 min intervals consisting of: 6; 6; 4; 7; 9, and for the last set I did 10 each time.
